Victor Mensah, MD is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and trauma researcher dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for a wide range of mental health conditions. With expertise in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, Dr. Mensah takes a holistic, patient-centered approach to treatment, integrating medication management, psychotherapy, and cutting-edge neuromodulation techniques to help individuals achieve lasting wellness. Currently, Dr. Mensah serves as an Attending Psychiatrist and Associate Professor of Clinical Education in Psychiatry at Richmond University Medical Center, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of psychiatrists. His clinical work focuses on interventional psychiatry, including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy), and IV/esketamine therapy for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Education & Background

Dr. Mensah completed his psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside, where he received specialized training in neuromodulation and interventional psychiatry. Prior to residency, he earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, graduating with a distinction in community service. His academic journey began with a BA in Biology from Rutgers University, where his passion for mental health and neuroscience first took root. Before joining Richmond University Medical Center, Dr. Mensah worked alongside world renowned researchers at the Brain Institute of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he advanced his expertise in Deep TMS, ketamine therapy, and ECT. He also treated veterans with PTSD and treatment-resistant depression at the Bronx VA, utilizing innovative therapies like esketamine.
